Marketplace and assets
The Meta Life marketplace is currently in development by our team of developers and will be available soon. The marketplace will use smart contracts to control item auctions and transactions. By definition, economic principles of supply and demand become automatically integrated into the system, allowing the community to determine the fair price of these assets.
The true strength of the Meta Life marketplace is its capacity to create real-world monetary value for asset owners with passive earnings staking mechanisms. Each asset will be made available through the Meta Life marketplace as NFTs for players to trade with METAL.
Marketplace assets
Our vision for Meta Life is for it to feature both Triple A quality and rewarding assets for players to enjoying playing with but also earn monetary rewards from. To make sure we bring this endeavor to its fullest potential, we have partnered in equity with ARES Studio (learn more about ARES Studio here) who manage the creation of 3D assets for the marketplace and ultimately for Meta Life’s in-game purpose.
Assets will have their own bonuses, perks and benefits for players to equip their character with or stake, and assets will belong to factions whose owners will enjoy higher benefits if they own a corresponding Meta Legends faction NFT and/or if they stake assets belonging to the same faction.
The asset tokens in the Meta Life marketplace will require several pieces of information in order to be displayed as a sellable virtual good through which they will be classified within the marketplace:
Class: each asset will belong to a specific faction but can nonetheless be owned by anyone regardless of their faction. Additional benefits apply to owners of a specific faction staking assets from the same faction. Ex: Burners.
Family: each asset will belong to a specific family that pre-defines its type. Ex: Weapons.
Type: within each family, assets will be of certain types. Ex: Pistol.
Description: the description is meant to help buyers and sellers with additional information such as the size, story, potential uses, model etc.
Thumbnail: assets will always be displayed through their thumbnails that display what the asset actually looks like as a 3D rigged item.
Price: the seller will be able to determine the price of the asset he is selling. Note that the price will always be set in METAL. Ex: 10 METAL
Bonuses: each asset is linked to certain types of bonuses, perks and benefits that future owners will be subject to. Ex: XP*2.
Note that the following items as presented are work in progress and serve as examples of assets we are in the course of producing. They might, or might not make it to the marketplace when the latter is launched. Nevertheless, they can be taken as faithful examples of what to expect.
