Meta Life is a sandbox open world divided into 21 cities composing the map of the metaverse, itself divided into lands (see here). The cities belong to 7 classes that make up the population of Meta Life: Celestials, Burners, Roboters, Goldbois, Matrix Angels, Cybers and Roughs (see here). In between these territories lie neutral areas mostly wild unspoiled terrains thriving with nature.
The Hub is a unique area of Meta Life where players load their virtual consciousness and begin their journey in Meta Life. From here, players can choose to go in any direction and forge their own path. We wish for The Hub to be a unique place where people can begin their adventure in the metaverse without being told what to do. Making it the only starting zone means players will inherently play together and maybe take similar paths to go and discover the beautiful world of Meta Life.
As its name conveys, The Hub is the centre of all paths where players can choose where they will go next and which stories they wish to pursue. It is a modern stadium-like area where players will be uploaded to the metaverse of Meta Life through the Entering Portal, the centre of The Hub. Surrounding the Entering Portal, players will find various portals to different places and activities: cities, areas, arcade battle arenas, the open world etc. Portals will display a distorted view of the area it will bring players to. Ultimately, as more cities, events and games are added to Meta Life, more portals will be created for players to hop in.
In the long-term, we also plan to make The Hub a place where players can join Battle Arenas to fight in PVP and PVE (see here).
Meta Life will feature at least three cities for each one of the seven classes in the game lore (see here). Cities are divided into blocks with a sandbox structure that allows for player movement with ease across the board. Most of the blocks will be available for players to purchase or rent as NFTs (Lands).
Cities are connected to one another and to The Hub through portals that facilitate world exploration and transportation from and to places.
Astralis
Magically suspended in the sky, Astralis is the capital of the noble Celestials, the most prestigious race in Meta Life. Filled with process and knowledge, it is home to godly monuments, clear lakes, stylized buildings and architectural spaces on different levels showcasing beautiful nature.
New Heaven
Home to the Cybers, a race of brilliant beings who found success in the metaverse after the end of the world we know. It connects rivers and seas through a magnificently modern coastline that outlines its futuristic skyscrapers and glass-windowed buildings. It was named after its purpose: provide a new place for Cybers to thrive.
Neopolis
Filled with incredible new technologies and hyper-modern buildings, Neopolis is populated by the Matrix Angels, naturally gifted with immense knowledge in computer engineering. From robotics and hi-tech to cybernetics and industrial science: Neopolis is the city of hackers.
Capital 111 or C-111
Home to the Roboters, Capital 111 is a reflection of neo-dystopian architecture. With tech noir elements of decor, neon lights and a dark ambiance, C-111 presents technology as a force that threatens our perception of reality.
Aurora, the Golden City
Aurora - derived from ‘aurous’ meaning ‘gold/golden’ - is a city of wealth and high influence. Capital of the Goldbois, its excentric architecture is said to have been whispered by divinities and is home to the craziest financial and intellectual abundances.
Barad-mörr
Capital city of the Burners, Barad-mörr is a place of fire and vileness. Heat and melt prevail as its population is obsessed with forgery.
Rust
Known for its survival-of-the-fittest environment, it is where the Roughs call home. Dusty, iron-sighted, dystopian and deserted, Rust is prone to constant civilian anarchy. A reflection of the old world, in the metaverse.
Open World areas can be explored freely by players within Meta Life. They will most often feature stunning landscapes, nature and weather. What we want to create with the open world areas is places where players are able to uncover different path options as they explore a variety of terrains, from mountains, hills and lakes to beaches, abandoned cities and wild jungles.
Players will be invited to different challenges within those areas that won’t necessarily require battle and will be rewarded with METAL or assets to equip, sell, stake or lend.
The Wildlings
An unspoiled land of jungle, lakes, rivers, waterfalls and wild animals near Astralis. Ready to be explored by bold and fearless adventurers looking to find exceptional resources at risk of coming across dangerous creatures.
The Swamps
A dangerous area of wild creatures. Once a place of worship for divinities, but nature has reclaimed its territory and made it hard to navigate. Swamps, animals, magical plants, wild vegetation and ancient monuments. But a place of many ressources and treasures for whom will dare to explore.
